The Wellness Blossom is a special flower I want to share with you. This flower has four petals, each a different color. Do you see the dancing figures that outline each petal?
Imagine you are standing at the center of this beautiful flower, with four brilliantly colored petals surrounding you. And if you like, imagine a soft wind blowing and a delicate perfume filling the air.
Since the four wellness domains encompass body, mind, spirit and emotions, I've named each petal for a different dimension of wellness.
|Look out over the red petal. Let's call it, your Healthy Body. This is the petal where you can examine your physical health. This is where women typically begin when they have issues with food, weight and body image. It is worthwhile to explore eating with awareness and healthy physical activity. But to go Beyond Weight Loss, other petals come into play.|
|Turn next to the orange petal. Call this one your Peaceful Mind. This petal of your wellness map focuses on positive self-talk, healthy thinking, and strong, personal boundaries that lead to Ultimate Self-Care. Exploration of mental factors can lead to improving how you communicate with others.|
|Turning again, find the blue petal named your Vibrant Spirit. This relates to your Spiritual Self and includes healthy relationships, uncovering what makes you feel passionate in life and the discovery of life goals for spiritual well-being.|
|Look over at the green petal. It represents your Balanced Emotions. This petal of your wellness map encompasses the world of emotions. Discover how emotional awareness and healthy expression of emotions can help you stress less and live more.|
A dynamic inner world of physical, mental, spiritual and emotional awareness lies beneath our lives and exploration of these areas are vital to the long-term goal of living a happier, healthier lifestyle.

Common energy drains and stuck patterns - stress, dieting, lack of self-care and relationship issues - all fit within the Wellness Blossom domains.
If you believe you are overweight and have been on multiple diets, your issue may begin within the Healthy Body petal.
Is it possible that the weight issue you want to resolve needs attention in other areas of the Wellness Blossom? For me, a "weight" issue turned out to be a "stress" issue and all the petals of the wellness blossom came into play to help me lose weight and find a new capacity to make healthy choices when things are difficult.
